Human Geo

Today in class all we did was go over the test and after that we just talked for like 10 mins.  Turns out only five people in our class did a loan of $25.  But we still had more then the other classes.  The other class only had two people in it who donated $25.  I let a girl in our class us my computer after that because she needed to redue the test.  That is all we did today

Western Civ

Yesterday in class we didn't do much. We went over one of are old test that we had.  I got a 78% o it so I think I did ok on it.  After that we took the test that we would of took if we would of voted to have a test Friday.  It was that hard but I didn't want to risk having a test and the failing it and my C go down.  After we finished it you gave us the answers so we can review for the exam.  I really want to get my grade up for western civ because it is at a 79.12% and I really want a B so I can get all B's on my report card.

Today we took notes on Alexander the great from the book. Kingdom of Macedonia-North of Greece/ Rough terrain and cold climax. Hardy People who lived in mountains. Thought of the selfs as greeks. Really didn't have that much in common except screwed and fretless kings. Philips army- Philip 2 became king of Macedonia and age 23. Brilliant general and ruthless position.  Phalanxes- 16 men and 16 deep red with 18 foot pike. Conquest of Greece. 338 B.C., Athens and Thebes joined forces to fight Philip. Lost at Chaerona*.  Philip was stabbed to death at his daughters wedding in 336 B.C Alexander became leader at the age of 20.  Learned a lot.  Likes homers story about the Trojan war.  Also slept with Iliad under his bed. 334 B.C. he lead 35,000 soldiers across hellespet* into Anatolia.  Vowed to crush invaders raised his army 50,000 and 75,00 men to face Macedonia.
