- Most of what we know of Jesus comes form the gospels Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John.
- "Gospel" means "good new"
- Jesus was a Jewish itinerant preacher in Judea who set himself apart from others.
- Jesus taught God's personal relationships to each human being

- Jesus' follower believed he was the "messiah" who had come to end the world and bring the truly faithful into the kingdom of God.
- Jesus was believe to be part human and part son of god
- Jesus was deemed a threat to roman rule and crucified, through his followers believe he rose for dead.
- 12 followers of Jesus attempted to read the word his teaching know as apostles.
- Paul to Tarsus was a jew who became a follower of Jesus after after miraculous vision on road to Damascus.
- paul was well traveled, he helped found church in many places, and he kept in with these new Christians by letter.
